Description

Light and fluffy beignets, perfectly fried and dusted with powdered sugar, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just blended.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, frying until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
