Description

Effortless and flavorful slow-cooked teriyaki chicken that brings family together for a delightful meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (optional)
  • 1 cup chopped broccoli (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Place chicken in the slow cooker.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together teriyaki sauce, honey, minced garlic, and minced ginger.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
  4. Add sliced bell pepper and broccoli if using.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until chicken is cooked through.
  7. Shred the chicken with a fork and mix it with the sauce.
  8. Serve over cooked rice or noodles and garnish with green onions if desired.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, remove the lid during the last hour of cooking to allow moisture to evaporate.
