Description

Learn how to make Dracula’s Blood Punch, a spooky and delicious Halloween drink that will impress your guests. Perfect for your next haunted gathering!

Ingredients

  • 70 oz (2070 ml) cherry juice
  • peel from 4 oranges
  • 1 small red chili, left whole but pierced a few times
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 10 cloves
  • 6 slices ginger, peeled
  • simple syrup if you want your drink sweeter, optional

Instructions

  1. Place the cherry juice into a large pot, then incorporate the orange peel, chili, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and ginger.
  2. Heat gently for 5 minutes, then switch off the stove.
  3. Allow it to cool down, then refrigerate for several hours or up to 2 days; the longer it sits, the stronger the flavors become.
  4. If serving to young children, remove the chili after heating or omit it entirely.
  5. Once ready to serve, transfer the juice into a serving jug.
  6. Pour into champagne flutes or jars/mugs, adding a straw to each.

Notes

  • Consider sweetening the drink by adding simple syrup to the cherry juice mixture before chilling.
  • Adjust the spiciness by removing the chili pepper earlier or omitting it completely.
  • Enhance the flavor by letting the mixture sit in the refrigerator for up to 2 days before serving.
