A rich and moist banana bread infused with cocoa and chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
- Mix in the baking soda and salt.
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Mix in the flour and cocoa powder until just incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider using dark chocolate chips. This bread is perfect warm from the oven or slightly cooled.
