Ingredients

- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 2 tsp ginger paste
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- Green onion and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Combine white sugar, brown sugar, soy sauce, cider vinegar, minced garlic, ginger paste, and ground black pepper in a slow cooker.
- Stir in the beef stew meat, ensuring each piece is well coated with the sauce.
- Cook on high for 4–5 hours, allowing time for the flavors to meld and the beef to tenderize.
- Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl to create a slurry. Stir this into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
- Cook for an additional hour, allowing the sauce to refine its texture.
- Serve the beef teriyaki over steaming rice and garnish with sliced green onion and sesame seeds.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, cook without the lid for the last 30 minutes. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
