Ingredients
- 4 slices of bread
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup cooked chicken tenders
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying
- Maple syrup (optional)
- Butter (for toasting the bread)
Instructions
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture, coating both sides.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat, and toast the bread until golden brown on both sides.
- Prepare the chicken by coating it in flour, then dipping it in the egg mixture, and finally coating it with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken until golden and crispy.
- Assemble the sandwich by placing the fried chicken between two slices of French toast.
- Drizzle with maple syrup if desired, and serve hot.
