Description

Ingredients

  • – 12 ounces (340 g) wonton wrappers
  • – 8 ounces (227 g) cream cheese, softened
  • – 6 ounces (170 g) canned imitation crab meat, drained well and flaked
  • – 1 clove garlic, peeled and finely minced
  • – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • – 3 green onions, chopped


Instructions

  1. Lightly coat a mini muffin tin with non-stick spray. Place a wonton wrapper in each cup and lightly mist with the spray.
  2. Bake at 350°F for approximately 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned. Take out of the oven and let them cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to whip the cream cheese until it’s smooth and airy.
  4. Incorporate the crab meat, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and most of the chopped green onions. Mix well.
  5. Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the baked wonton cups.
  6. Place back in the oven and bake for another 8 to 10 minutes, or until the filling is thoroughly warmed.
  7. Once done, remove from the oven and sprinkle with the remaining green onions. Serve right away with your choice of dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Make sure to thoroughly drain the canned imitation crab meat to prevent excess moisture in the filling.
  • Soften the cream cheese at room temperature for easier mixing and a smoother texture.
  • Adjust the amount of Worcestershire sauce based on your preference for a subtle savory flavor.
