Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients from the small bowl.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges turn a golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
