Description

A delightful crispy chicken Caesar sandwich featuring juicy chicken cutlets, creamy dressing, and fresh romaine in a warm baguette.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup full-fat mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1-2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 5 chicken cutlets
  • Oil (for frying)
  • ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup panko crumbs
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 romaine hearts (chopped)
  • 1-2 French baguettes
  • Extra Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, prepare the Caesar dressing by mixing all ingredients until smooth and creamy.
  2. Mix 4–5 tablespoons of the dressing with the chopped romaine and refrigerate.
  3. Pound the chicken cutlets to even thickness and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Set up a breading station with flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs in separate plates.
  5. Dredge each chicken cutlet in the flour mixture, dip in the egg, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  7. Drain the fried chicken on a wire rack.
  8. Slice the baguettes and spread Caesar dressing inside.
  9. Layer on the chicken cutlet and Caesar salad, adding extra Parmesan before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan in the dressing. Avoid overcrowding the frying pan for better cooking results.
