Ingredients

  • 1 package white cake mix (500g)
  • 3 packets blue raspberry flavor mix (9g each)
  • 2 sticks margarine, softened (226g)
  • 60ml vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • About 480g icing sugar
  • 1 Blue Raspberry flavored Baby Bottle Pop
  • Fruit gummy worms
  • Bug-shaped sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350°F and place paper liners in two muffin trays, aiming for about 18 liners in total.
  2. Follow the instructions on the cake mix package to prepare the batter, then mix in two packets of the blue raspberry flavoring until well blended.
  3. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about three-quarters full.
  4. Bake until they’re set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, approximately 15 minutes. Let them cool down completely.
  5. While the cupcakes are cooling, use a stand mixer to blend the margarine, oil, vanilla, and the last packet of blue raspberry flavoring until smooth and creamy.
  6. Slowly incorporate the icing sugar into the mixture, adding about one cup at a time, until the frosting is light and fluffy.
  7. Generously pipe the frosting onto the cooled cupcakes, then apply the baby bottle pop sour candy as a topping and finish with gummy worms and bug-shaped sprinkles.
  8. Enjoy your creation!

Notes

  • Consider enhancing the blue raspberry flavor by incorporating some blue raspberry mix into the frosting.
  • Experiment with various gummy candies or sprinkles for diverse textures and colors.
  • Achieve a thicker frosting by gradually adding more icing sugar until reaching the desired consistency.
