Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta of your choice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
- Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the crushed tomatoes to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper. Allow the sauce to simmer for another 3-5 minutes, until slightly thickened.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese if desired.
