Ingredients
- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 12 oz penne pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion turns translucent.
- Pour in the chicken broth and stir in the heavy cream to create a sauce.
- Mix in the cooked pasta until well combined.
- Stir in shredded mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, and paprika. Let it simmer until the cheese melts.
