A comforting dish featuring rigatoni pasta in a creamy tomato sauce, with savory sausage and fresh spinach.
Ingredients
- 12 oz rigatoni pasta
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup tomato cream sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Parmesan cheese, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook rigatoni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add Italian sausage and cook until browned.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add fresh spinach and cook until wilted.
- Pour in the tomato cream sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Combine the cooked rigatoni into the skillet and stir well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
Taste the sauce before serving to adjust the seasoning as desired. Adding crushed red pepper can introduce a delightful heat.
