Description

A hearty chowder brimming with savory sausage, tender potatoes, and fresh corn, perfect for cozy evenings with loved ones.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes, diced into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 lb sausage (Italian or kielbasa), sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups corn (frozen or fresh)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and add sliced sausage. Cook until browned, then set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until onions are translucent.
  3. Add diced potatoes, corn, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and the cooked sausage. Season with salt and pepper, and gently heat through.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired before serving.

Notes

For a creamier texture, mash a portion of the potatoes after cooking. Pair with crusty bread for a complete meal.
