Ingredients

  • – 5 green bell pepper (750g) halved & cleaned
  • – 1/2 pound (225g) ground beef
  • – 1/2 pound (225g) beef sausage
  • – 1/2 cup (120ml) onions chopped
  • – 1 cup (240ml) pizza sauce
  • – 4 ounces (113g) cream cheese
  • – 1/2 cup (60g) cheddar cheese
  • – 1 cup (240ml) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • – 1/4 cup (30g) sliced olives
  • – 1/4 cup (30g) beef pepperoni


Instructions

  1. Prepare the meat by cooking it and then removing excess fat.
  2. Place the meat back in the pan over medium heat and incorporate the onions, cooking until they become soft.
  3. Mix in the pizza sauce. Add the cream cheese, either sliced or cubed, and stir thoroughly until it blends evenly with the meat mixture.
  4. Incorporate the cheddar cheese, then fill the halved bell peppers with the mixture.
  5. Top with mozzarella cheese. Arrange pepperoni slices and olives over the cheese layer.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake in a 350°F oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 10 to 20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the peppers are slightly softened. Serve hot and savor!
