Ingredients

  • 16 oz. (450 g) fresh baby bella mushrooms
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) grated cheese
  • 1 cup (240 ml) rice
  • 2 cups (480 ml) water
  • Salt
  • Garlic powder


Instructions

  1. Set your oven to preheat at 350°F (175°C).
  2. Chop the mushrooms and cook them in a skillet over medium heat for roughly 10 minutes, allowing most of the moisture to evaporate.
  3. Cut up the onion and add it to the skillet with a pinch of salt and some garlic powder. Continue cooking until the onion softens, approximately 10 to 15 minutes, then remove any leftover liquid from the pan.
  4. Place the rice and water into a baking dish that can go in the oven.
  5. Mix in the cream of mushroom soup.
  6. Combine the mushroom and onion mixture with the contents of the baking dish, stirring thoroughly.
  7. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top.
  8. Put the dish into the oven and let it bake for an hour and a half.
