Ingredients
- 16 oz. (450 g) fresh baby bella mushrooms
- 1 medium onion
- 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) grated cheese
- 1 cup (240 ml) rice
- 2 cups (480 ml) water
- Salt
- Garlic powder
Instructions
- Set your oven to preheat at 350°F (175°C).
- Chop the mushrooms and cook them in a skillet over medium heat for roughly 10 minutes, allowing most of the moisture to evaporate.
- Cut up the onion and add it to the skillet with a pinch of salt and some garlic powder. Continue cooking until the onion softens, approximately 10 to 15 minutes, then remove any leftover liquid from the pan.
- Place the rice and water into a baking dish that can go in the oven.
- Mix in the cream of mushroom soup.
- Combine the mushroom and onion mixture with the contents of the baking dish, stirring thoroughly.
- Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top.
- Put the dish into the oven and let it bake for an hour and a half.
