A delightful canape featuring creamy garlic, ripe avocado, and crunchy French baguette slices, perfect for gatherings or quiet moments at home.
Ingredients
- 1 large avocado (ripe)
- 1 large clove of garlic (crushed)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 French baguette (sliced into 1/4″ slices)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the French baguette into 1/4″ pieces.
- Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.
- Bake the baguette slices for 10-12 minutes or until lightly toasted.
- While the baguette toasts, scoop the ripe avocado into a bowl.
- Add the crushed garlic and mayonnaise to the bowl with the avocado.
- Mash the ingredients together until smooth and creamy.
- Season with black pepper to taste.
- Once the baguette slices are toasted, remove them from the oven.
- Spread the creamy garlic avocado mixture generously onto each slice of baguette.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, top with freshly chopped herbs or a sprinkle of lemon juice to prevent browning.
