Ingredients

  • 1 lb (454 g) beef fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb (454 g) fresh mushrooms
  • 1 lb (454 g) chicken breast
  • 2 cups (480 ml) heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup (113 g) vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) grated halal-friendly cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) olive oil for frying
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) salt, adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) pepper, adjust to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fettuccine according to the package directions.
  2. Cut the mushrooms into thin slices and cook them over high heat until they are a rich golden brown, adding a pinch of salt.
  3. Cut the chicken into strips of equal size, season with salt and pepper, and cook until they are golden brown.
  4. In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy whipping cream, pressed garlic, vegetable oil, and grated cheese, whisking them together. Heat the mixture over medium-low flame until it becomes smooth.
  5. Combine the cooked fettuccine, sautéed mushrooms, and chicken with the sauce. Mix thoroughly until all elements are well integrated, then remove from heat.
  6. Serve while warm, garnishing with freshly grated cheese. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Consider enhancing the flavor by using a mix of shiitake, cremini, or oyster mushrooms.
  • Add a touch of freshness with chopped parsley or basil before serving.
  • Adjust the creaminess by adding more heavy whipping cream or a splash of milk for desired consistency.
