Warm and comforting meatball and mashed potato bake, perfect for family gatherings and busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 lb frozen or homemade meatballs, fully cooked
- 4 cups mashed potatoes (freshly made or leftovers)
- 1½ cups brown gravy (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley or green onions (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Spread the mashed potatoes evenly in the bottom of the baking dish. Season with salt and pepper if needed.
- Place the cooked meatballs evenly over the mashed potatoes.
- Drizzle brown gravy over the meatballs and potatoes, covering everything.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly on top.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Top with chopped parsley or green onions if desired. Serve hot for a cozy, comforting meal.
Notes
Using leftover mashed potatoes can save time. For creamier mashed potatoes, consider adding butter and cream.
