Description

Warm and comforting meatball and mashed potato bake, perfect for family gatherings and busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen or homemade meatballs, fully cooked
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes (freshly made or leftovers)
  • 1½ cups brown gravy (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley or green onions (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly in the bottom of the baking dish. Season with salt and pepper if needed.
  3. Place the cooked meatballs evenly over the mashed potatoes.
  4. Drizzle brown gravy over the meatballs and potatoes, covering everything.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly on top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Top with chopped parsley or green onions if desired. Serve hot for a cozy, comforting meal.

Notes

Using leftover mashed potatoes can save time. For creamier mashed potatoes, consider adding butter and cream.
