A healthier take on chocolate mousse using cottage cheese for a rich, creamy, and guilt-free dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Hiland Dairy Cottage Cheese
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Add the cottage cheese, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt into a blender.
- Blend until smooth to achieve a thick consistency. Add more cottage cheese if it’s too runny.
- Pour the mixture into a bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Spoon out a serving and enjoy. Optionally, top with whipped cream or fresh berries.
Notes
For a denser mousse, use full-fat cottage cheese. You can also experiment with flavors by adding nut butter or spices.
