Description

Delightful chocolate chip cookies that evoke nostalgia and bring loved ones together.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until soft and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until thoroughly combined.
  4. Add the cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Mix well until fully integrated.
  5. Gradually beat in the flour, one cup at a time, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  6. Gently stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop out 1/3 cup of dough for large cookies or use a medium scoop for regular-sized cookies, placing them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-11 minutes for large cookies or about 8 minutes for regular-sized cookies, or until golden brown on the edges and slightly firm in the middle.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Chilling the dough for 30 minutes can solidify the fats, leading to thicker cookies. Experiment with adding different types of chocolate chips for a unique flavor.
