Ingredients
- 1 box of cake mix (your choice of flavor)
- 1 can of frosting (vanilla works well)
- 1 bag of melting chocolate (for coating)
- Lollipop sticks
- Optional: sprinkles, edible glitter, or toppings for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven and bake the cake according to package instructions.
- Once the cake is fully baked, allow it to cool before crumbling it into fine pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled cake with the frosting, mixing until well incorporated.
- Roll the mixture into balls, placing them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Chill the cake balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate according to the package instructions.
- Dip the lollipop sticks into the melted chocolate before inserting them into each cake ball.
- Coat each cake ball in the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
- Place decorated cake pops upright in a Styrofoam block or egg carton and let them set until the chocolate hardens.
- Decorate with sprinkles or other toppings as desired before serving.
