Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Maple syrup (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar in a large bowl.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Mix together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently a few times. Pat into a rectangle about 1 inch thick.
- Cut into squares or circles and place on the prepared baking sheet.
