Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pie crust (9-inch, 23 cm)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200 g)

  • 2 1/2 cups whole milk (590 ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) ground nutmeg


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the unbaked pie crust into a 9-inch (23 cm) pie pan.
  3. In a large bowl, crack and beat the 3 eggs until smooth.
  4. Add the granulated sugar and salt to the eggs and mix well.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add the whole milk to the egg mixture, stirring continuously.
  7. Pour the egg mixture into the pie crust.
