Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (15 ml)
  • 5 cup chopped onion (120 g)
  • 5 cup chopped celery (60 g)
  • 4 (430 ml) cans chicken broth
  • 1 (430 ml) can vegetable broth
  • 5 pound chopped cooked beef breast (225 g)
  • 5 cups egg noodles (130 g)
  • 1 cup sliced carrots (130 g)
  • 5 teaspoon (3 ml) dried basil
  • 5 teaspoon (3 ml) dried oregano
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Introduce the onion and celery, cooking until they are just soft, approximately 5 minutes.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth, vegetable broth, beef, egg noodles, and carrots. Add the basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together, then bring to a rolling boil.
  3. Lower the heat and let the mixture gently simmer for 20 minutes.
