Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
- Combine the melted butter, milk, eggs, nutmeg, and vanilla extract in a large bowl and whisk until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the muffins in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Mix the remaining sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish, dip the warm muffin tops, and press gently.
- Return the muffins to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes to crisp the tops.
Notes
