Description

Delicious cinnamon apple fritters embody the warmth of autumn, featuring a crunchy exterior and sweet apple interior. Perfect for family brunch or cozy desserts.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, combine the milk and eggs. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  3. Fold in the diced apples.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pan to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Using a spoon, drop batter into the hot oil. Fry the fritters until they turn golden brown on both sides. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  6. For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Drizzle the glaze over the warm fritters before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Use freshly grated cinnamon for enhanced flavor. Experiment with different apple varieties for unique taste.
