Description

A rich and moist chocolate bundt cake made with sour cream, perfect for celebrations and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup chocolate glaze (for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  5. Stir in sour cream and vanilla.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with boiling water until combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Drizzle with chocolate glaze before serving.
