Description
Classic chocolate chip cookies that are crispy on the edges and chewy in the center, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time until well blended.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking for enhanced flavor and shape retention.
