Delightful homemade chocolate chip cookies with a crispy outside and chewy inside, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Add salt, vanilla, and eggs; mix until combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture; mix until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets, leaving space between each.
- Bake until edges are golden, about 12-15 minutes.
- Allow cooling on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking for best results. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
