Description

Delightful homemade chocolate chip cookies with a crispy outside and chewy inside, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  4. Add salt, vanilla, and eggs; mix until combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture; mix until just combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets, leaving space between each.
  8. Bake until edges are golden, about 12-15 minutes.
  9. Allow cooling on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking for best results. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
