Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter for the brownie batter. Combine the melted butter with granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract, stirring until everything is well mixed.
- Sift in the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, and salt, mixing until you achieve a smooth batter.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar for your chocolate chip cookie dough.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
- Gradually mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt to form a soft cookie dough.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring even distribution.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Take spoonfuls of the cookie dough and drop them over the brownie batter, gently pressing them into the mixture to create a marbled effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are set, and the center remains slightly gooey.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the baking dish.
- Once cooled, cut into squares or your preferred shape and enjoy.
Notes
For added flavor, you can sprinkle a bit of sea salt on top before baking.
