A delicious chocolate chip banana bread made from ripe bananas and rich chocolate chips, perfect for sharing and enjoying warm.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Mix in the baking soda and salt.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract; mix well.
- Stir in the flour until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before slicing.
Notes
For best results, use very ripe bananas and take care not to overmix the batter.
