Description

A quick and satisfying stir-fry featuring ground beef and cabbage, full of vibrant flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 4 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Mince garlic and ginger, and slice cabbage into thin strips.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet; cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  4. Stir in garlic and ginger; sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Add sliced cabbage; cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly wilted.
  6. Pour in soy sauce; mix well and let cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Drizzle sesame oil over the stir-fry before serving and top with chopped green onions.

Notes

For added crunch, include other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots. Adjust soy sauce and try tamari for a gluten-free twist.
