Description

A quick and flavorful stir fry featuring tender beef and caramelized onions, perfect for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef (sliced thinly)
  • 2 large onions (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (minced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Steamed rice for serving

Instructions

  2. Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add ginger and garlic, stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stir in the sliced onions and continue to stir-fry until the onions are caramelized, around 4-5 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the stir-fry over steamed rice.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a dash of sesame oil at the end of cooking. Experiment with adding vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas.
