A quick and flavorful stir fry featuring tender beef and sweet onions, perfect for a busy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef (sliced thinly)
- 2 onions (sliced)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
- Push the beef to the side and add the sliced onions and minced garlic. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until onions are tender.
- Add soy sauce and oyster sauce, then mix everything together.
- Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through and combine flavors.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with green onions before serving. Serve hot with rice.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider marinating the beef briefly in soy sauce and cornstarch. You can also add vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for more nutrition.
