Ingredients
- 1 pound flank steak
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together lime juice, chili powder, olive oil, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the flank steak in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
- Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing against the grain.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired and serve.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, consider adding lime zest to the marinade. Use a cast-iron skillet for a different texture. Be sure to let the steak rest after cooking.
