Description

A vibrant and flavorful chili lime flank steak marinated to perfection, ideal for gatherings and unforgettable meals.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together lime juice, chili powder, olive oil, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  5. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing against the grain.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired and serve.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider adding lime zest to the marinade. Use a cast-iron skillet for a different texture. Be sure to let the steak rest after cooking.
