A hearty chicken bacon ranch pasta dish blending robust flavors for a comforting family meal.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 6 strips bacon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 small boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups uncooked pasta (Rotini recommended)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 2 cups half and half
- 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing seasoning mix
Instructions
- Cook the bacon in a large skillet over low heat until crisp, then set aside and reserve drippings.
- Slice the chicken breasts, season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning, and sear in the reserved drippings over medium-high heat until golden and cooked through. Cube the chicken after resting.
- Boil pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic, then add flour and gradually whisk in half and half to create a creamy sauce. Stir in ranch seasoning and cheese until smooth.
- Combine the sauce with pasta and cubed chicken, mixing gently. Garnish with chopped bacon and serve warm.
