Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- Butter or oil for grilling
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Toast the slices of bread lightly.
- Mix the shredded chicken with mashed avocado, and season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the chicken and avocado mixture on one slice of bread.
- Top with shredded cheese and place the second slice of bread on top.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.
- Grill the sandwich until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve warm.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute chicken with beans or another protein. Experiment with spices or fresh herbs to customize flavors.
