Description

Delicious chewy chocolate chip cookies that evoke nostalgia and warmth, perfect for sharing with family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Beat in vanilla extract and eggs until well blended.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop cookie dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden edges and set centers are achieved.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For extra chewiness, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Adjust baking times for smaller or larger cookies.
