Description

Deliciously satisfying cheesy meatball subs, bursting with flavor from juicy meatballs, melted mozzarella, and savory marinara sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 4 hoagie rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well and shape into meatballs.
  3. Cook the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
  4. Add the marinara sauce to the skillet and simmer for about 15 minutes.
  5. Split the hoagie rolls and place the meatballs inside.
  6. Top with mozzarella cheese and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.
