A delightful one-pan meal that combines ground beef, zesty enchilada sauce, and elbow macaroni, topped with gooey melted cheddar cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups water
- 1 can (15 oz) enchilada sauce
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink.
- Drain excess fat.
- Stir in water, enchilada sauce, macaroni, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes or until the pasta is cooked through.
- Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
- Serve hot.
Notes
Customize the spice level by adding diced jalapeños or extra chili powder. For creaminess, mix in sour cream before serving.
