Description
A delightful hand-held breakfast treat combining crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, and cheese encased in sourdough discard dough.
Ingredients
- Sourdough discard
- 4 Eggs
- 4 slices Bacon
- 1 cup Cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Butter or oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a pan, cook the bacon until crispy, then remove and let drain on paper towels.
- In the same pan, scramble the eggs, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Add cheese to the eggs and stir until melted.
- Roll out the sourdough discard into flat circles.
- Place a spoonful of the cheesy egg and bacon mixture in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over to create pockets and seal the edges.
- Brush the tops with butter or oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Experiment with different cheese types for variation. Consider adding sautéed onions or bell peppers for extra flavor.
