Description

A delightful hand-held breakfast treat combining crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, and cheese encased in sourdough discard dough.

Ingredients

  • Sourdough discard
  • 4 Eggs
  • 4 slices Bacon
  • 1 cup Cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Butter or oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a pan, cook the bacon until crispy, then remove and let drain on paper towels.
  3. In the same pan, scramble the eggs, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Add cheese to the eggs and stir until melted.
  5. Roll out the sourdough discard into flat circles.
  6. Place a spoonful of the cheesy egg and bacon mixture in the center of each circle.
  7. Fold the dough over to create pockets and seal the edges.
  8. Brush the tops with butter or oil.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Experiment with different cheese types for variation. Consider adding sautéed onions or bell peppers for extra flavor.
