Ingredients
- 1 (340 g) package macaroni (12 oz)
- 480 ml milk (2 cups)
- 1 egg
- 300 g shredded beef cheese (10.5 oz)
- 30 ml vegetable oil (2 tbsp)
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly coat a 2-quart casserole dish with oil.
- Cook the macaroni in a generous amount of salted water until it’s nearly al dente, approximately 5 minutes. Drain and put it aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the milk and egg together; then add in the cheese and oil.
- Transfer the partially cooked macaroni into the oiled baking dish. Pour the milk mixture over the macaroni, add salt and pepper to taste, and mix well. Press the mixture evenly in the dish.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake without a cover until the top turns golden brown, around 30 to 40 minutes.
