Description

A comforting casserole that combines the classic flavors of a cheeseburger with tender macaroni and gooey cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef with the diced onion and minced garlic.
  2. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the elbow macaroni, beef broth, milk, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the macaroni is cooked through.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  6. Serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, use high-quality block cheese instead of pre-shredded. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes after cooking for better flavor integration.
