A comforting casserole that combines the classic flavors of cheeseburgers with pasta, making it perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: pickles, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef and onion until cooked through.
- Drain excess fat.
- Add the pasta, beef broth, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to the pot.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, or until pasta is tender.
- Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted.
- Serve warm, optionally garnished with pickles.
Notes
For extra flavor, scrape the bottom of the pot while browning the beef. Adjust seasonings to taste.
