Ingredients
- 1 cup popcorn kernels
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup almonds (for added crunch and flavor)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Pop the popcorn kernels and place them in a large bowl.
- In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter over medium heat. Stir until it comes to a boil.
- Continue boiling for 4-5 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and baking soda.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn and mix well.
- Add almonds and mix again.
- Spread onto a greased baking sheet and let cool.
- Break into pieces and enjoy.
