Description

Indulge in the perfect Halloween treat with our delicious Candy Corn Cheesecake Bars recipe. Learn how to make this festive dessert that will wow your guests!

Ingredients

  • 1 yellow cake mix (225 g)
  • 1/2 cup (115 g) softened butter
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml) salt
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups (250 g) powdered sugar
  • 1 cup (150 g) dried fruit
  • chocolate chunks
  • sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to preheat.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the cake mix, salt, an egg, and butter, stirring thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and thick.
  3. Transfer this mixture to a pre-greased 9 x 13 glass baking dish, pressing it down evenly to cover the base.
  4. In another bowl, blend together two eggs, powdered sugar, and cream cheese until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Evenly pour this cheesecake mixture over the cake base in the dish.
  6. Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, ensuring not to exceed the time. I found 28 minutes yielded the best results, but remember, oven times can vary.
  7. Take it out of the oven and let it sit for an hour to cool.

Notes

  • Ensure the butter is fully softened at room temperature for a smooth cake batter.
  • Use a mix of dried fruits like raisins, cranberries, or apricots for a flavorful twist in the cheesecake topping.
  • Add extra chocolate chunks or sprinkles before baking for added texture and visual appeal.
