Instructions
- Set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to preheat.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cake mix, salt, an egg, and butter, stirring thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and thick.
- Transfer this mixture to a pre-greased 9 x 13 glass baking dish, pressing it down evenly to cover the base.
- In another bowl, blend together two eggs, powdered sugar, and cream cheese until the mixture is smooth.
- Evenly pour this cheesecake mixture over the cake base in the dish.
- Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, ensuring not to exceed the time. I found 28 minutes yielded the best results, but remember, oven times can vary.
- Take it out of the oven and let it sit for an hour to cool.
