Description

Delicious, flaky buttermilk biscuits perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the buttermilk until the dough comes together.
  5. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently.
  6. Roll out to about 1 inch thick and cut into rounds.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
