Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until evenly combined.
- Gradually stir in the milk until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Pour half of the melted butter into the prepared baking dish, coating the bottom well.
- Pour the biscuit dough over the butter in the dish, spreading it evenly.
- Drizzle the remaining melted butter on top of the biscuit dough.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
Notes
For a twist, try adding garlic powder or fresh herbs to the dry ingredients.
