Description

Deliciously fluffy and golden-brown butter biscuits, perfect for brunch and family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup salted butter
  • 1 cup milk


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut the butter into small pieces and add it to the flour mixture; mix until crumbly.
  4. Pour in the milk and mix until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead a couple of times.
  6. Shape the biscuits by patting or cutting into rounds.
  7. Brush the tops with milk or melted butter, then bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Use cold butter for flakier biscuits and avoid overmixing the dough.
