Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup salted butter
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut the butter into small pieces and add it to the flour mixture; mix until crumbly.
- Pour in the milk and mix until just combined.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead a couple of times.
- Shape the biscuits by patting or cutting into rounds.
- Brush the tops with milk or melted butter, then bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
Use cold butter for flakier biscuits and avoid overmixing the dough.
